BUTTERFLY
tells the heartwarming story of the relationship that develops between
a shy young boy and his kind teacher in 1936 Spain. The boy, Moncho
(Manuel Lozano), is frightened about starting school, and it is up to
the gentle, compassionate Don Gregorio (Fernando Fernan Gomez) to set
the boy's mind at ease. When the Spanish Civil War erupts on July 18,
both individuals' lives are changed forever. Gomez turns in another
memorable performance as the sensitive teacher.
The Butterfly Effect:
Evan Treborn grows up in a small town with his
single working mom and his friends. He suffers from memory blackouts
where he suddenly finds himself somewhere else, confused. Evans'
friends and mom hardly believe him, thinking he makes it up just to get
out of trouble, something bad always seems to happen during these
blackouts. As Evan grows up he has less of these blackouts until he
seems to have recovered. Since the age of seven he has written a diary
of his blackout moments so he can remember what happens. One day at
college he starts to read one of his old diaries, and suddenly a
flashback hits him like a brick! Madama Butterfly
Puccini's classic tragic opera is performed by a talented cast which
includes Yasuko Hayashi, Hak-Nak Kim, Peter Dvorsky, and Giorgio
Zancanaro. The acclaimed Lorin Maazel conducts, with the chorus and
orchestra of Milan's world-renowned Teatro Alla Scala providing lush,
gorgeous accompaniment.

MySpace Page here, which
tells her story.
Carey's first post-divorce effort makes
passing allusions to her ex-hubby (and label honcho) Tommy Mottola, but it
doesn't dwell on them. Carey is right
back to cooing trademark melismatic spirals through sexy,
beat-heavy hits. Fans will dig the bedroom slink of "Baby Doll," the dripping
"Honey" and the infectious title track (reprised, along with a bit of Elton
John's "Skyline Pigeon," in "Fly Away"). The highlight is a duet with Dru Hill
on Prince's "The Beautiful Ones," which just might be her most pointed
commentary on Mottola. --Michael Ruby

Butterfly Lyrics (Mariah Carey)
Butterfly
When you love someone so deeply They become your
life It's easy to succumb to overwhelming fears inside Blindly I
imagined I could Keep you under glass Now I understand to hold you I
must open up my hands And watch you rise
Chorus
Spread your
wings and prepare to fly For you have become a butterfly Fly abandonedly
into the sun If you should return to me We truly were meant to be So
spread your wings and fly Butterfly
Verse
I have learned that
beauty Has to flourish in the light Wild horses run unbridled Or their
spirit dies You have given me the courage To be all that I can And I
truly feel your heart will Lead you back to me when you're Ready to
land
Chorus
Spread your wings and prepare to fly For you have
become a butterfly Fly abandonedly into the sun If you should return to
me We truly were meant to be So spread your wings and
fly Butterfly
Bridge
I can't pretend these tears Aren't over
flowing steadily I can't prevent this hurt from Almost overtaking
me But I will stand and say goodbye For you'll never be mine Until you
know the way it feels to fly
Chorus
Spread your wings and
prepare to fly For you have become a butterfly Fly abandonedly into the
sun If you should return to me We truly were meant to be So spread your
wings and fly Butterfly
Chorus
Spread your wings and prepare to
fly For you have become a butterfly Fly abandonedly into the sun If you
should return to me We truly were meant to be So spread your wings and
fly Butterfly So flutter through the sky BUTTERFLY
